About Babi

Babi was brought into the municipal pound when he was just four months old. He was a frightened little pup with no idea what was going on, but as the months have passed he has slowly become more adjusted, calmer and started to trust the people around him. He is now around seven months old and we would love for him to find a home as soon as he can, so he doesn’t have to grow up in the confines of a kennel.

Babi is a gentle, playful and sweet natured young dog with a lovely temperament and so much potential to shine as a companion. Being a Shepherd mix, he’s a smart boy and picks up new things quickly. He would thrive in a home with a family keen to dedicate some time and effort to introductory training. He’s very eager to please and loves to learn. He responds well to positive reinforcement and a kind word.

Babi would love a moderately active lifestyle with a home based outside of the city where he can enjoy exploring. He’d love to spend time outdoors with his new family away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads and crowds, and would love long weekend walks with snuggles on the sofa at the end of the day.

Being a puppy, Babi enjoys playing with toys and would also do well with enrichment and brain games, especially considering his clever breed type. He also mixes well with other dogs and could happily live with a friendly resident dog, though he’d also be content as the only dog in the home provided he has ample time to adjust to a new environment and lifestyle at his pace.

Babi is good natured with people and could live in a home with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with a young dog still learning the ropes. He has had no exposure to very young children, and we think kids aged 8+ would be the most appropriate for him. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body, but needs predictability and calm while finding his feet.

Babi would thrive in a home with access to a secure garden, where he can enjoy some space to play and relax. He is still young and will need structure, ongoing training, and patience as he continues to grow into adulthood, but his affectionate nature and willingness to learn are already good indicators of just how much potential this sweet boy truly has.

If you think you can offer Babi the kindness, guidance and security to help him blossom into the companion he longs to be, we would love to hear from you!
