About Sasha
Sasha is a small, soft natured young dog looking for a fresh start. Born in September 2022, Sasha was rescued from a public shelter in a small Bosnian town, where conditions were poor and hope for a better life was slim. Thankfully, Sasha was brought to safety at one of our partner shelters and has been patiently waiting for his chance ever since.
At roughly 11 kg, Sasha is a lovely manageable size and ideal for someone looking for a slightly smaller sized dog to welcome into their home. He is moderately active and would suit a family who enjoys daily walks but isn’t on the go all the time. He would still enjoy chilling at home and snuggles on the sofa on slower days. Sasha enjoys attention when it’s offered but doesn’t demand it, and he’s just quietly happy to be included.
Sasha walks nicely on the lead and has been really easy going, friendly and tolerant of living alongside lots of other dogs ever since he arrived at the shelter. Although he’s not the most playful with the other dogs, he likes their company and enjoys the presence of his kennel pals. He’s calm and respectful, and could happily live alongside other resident dogs, especially those of a slightly calmer nature. He finds the shelter setting a bit over-stimulating, so he’d appreciate a more relaxed home setting.
Sasha is good with children as well as adults, and his gentle, balanced character makes him a nice match for families with either older or calm younger children. He may be a little unsure around new people at first, but once he has had a little time to adjust, he becomes more relaxed and affectionate, especially with the volunteers he now knows and trusts.
We believe that Sasha would be happiest in a quiet household, ideally outside the noise and bustle of city life. A countryside or semi rural home, with access to a secure garden and peaceful walks would suit him perfectly. Sasha doesn’t need constant activity, he simply needs a calm, kind home where he can feel safe, appreciated, and part of a family. He is a sweet young dog with a lot of love to give and once he’s found his feet we know he’s going to make a wonderful companion.
Please note all our Bosnian dogs arrive to kennels based in Ormskirk when they get to the UK. Adopters are required to arrange collection from there.
