About Vika
Vika is a small and sweet natured young dog currently in Bosnia and looking for a home where she can finally enjoy the love and freedom she deserves. She’s estimated to be around one year old and weighs just 4.5kg! She may be pint sized, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in personality. Vika is a wonderful little dog with loads to offer and as far as she’s concerned, she’s everyone’s friend. We can’t wait for her to get a taste of companion life!
Vika came into the care of the shelter after our partners in Bosnia saw her for sale online on a local page. There she was, a tiny little dog on the end of a huge, heavy chain, tied up outside and looking completely broken. Sadly, dogs living outside on chains is commonplace in Bosnia, but for a dog of Vika’s size and temperament, we couldn’t believe it. Thankfully, she was rescued before she ended up in more incapable hands, and now she’s ready for much more than just safety - she’s ready for a forever home.
Since her rescue, Vika has shown nothing but genuine joy and gratitude for her newfound freedom. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves being around people. As soon as she sees someone she lights up with excitement, bouncing around and asking for attention. She’s particularly cuddly and thrives on human contact. She’s brilliant with everyone, be it a child or an adult. She’s just happy as long as she’s in your arms!
Vika is sociable and confident with other dogs and could live happily with canine companions. She would also be perfectly content as the only dog in the home, provided she has plenty of attention and companionship from her adopters. Being a terrier mix, she would be best suited to a moderately active routine.
Despite her small size, we feel that Vika has the confidence and character to adapt to a busy lifestyle. She could easily live in an urban setting, especially with access to regular walks and opportunities to explore. She enjoys being active and would be a lovely little walking companion, but she’s also the kind of dog who would be just as happy snuggled up beside you at home.
Vika is a delightful young dog with so much love to give. She’s playful, friendly, and has shown so much resilience and forgiveness. After everything she’s been through, she deserves a home where she will be truly cherished.
