About Jack & Ella

Jack and Ella are not originally Underdogs, but when we were approached to ask if we could help with their promotion we thought we might be able to support with their rehoming, and so, here they are!

Jack and Ella are a bonded siblings pair of sighthound mixes who were rescued from a building site in Dubai at the age of just three weeks old. A worker on the site found them and took them to a local shelter in the hope they could have a better future. At eight weeks old a foster home was found for the pair in within Dubai, but it was considered that a better home might be found for them if they were to come to the UK. They are now being fostered in a dog hotel in Bude, Cornwall, and are looking for a forever home together.

Jack and Ella are around one year old and medium sized dogs at around 20kg each. They are microchipped, neutered and vaccinated, and are in brilliant health. They are very good companions for one another and love nothing more than playing with each other and racing about outside together. They are generally very good with other dogs and they attended doggie daycare when they were in Dubai, but they definitely prefer the company of one another over other dogs. They can at times be initially reactive towards some other dogs that they don’t know, but this subsides with confidence and once they’ve formed a relationship.

Because Jack and Ella were fostered from a young age they have grown up knowing safety and security, and what it’s like to be in a home. They previously lived alongside cats, and three children, so we feel they would make good family companions. The pair are high energy when outside and love having the opportunity to run and play, but are chilled indoors and generally just like to curl up and snooze together.

Jack and Ella are typically well behaved and have learned to walk nicely on the lead. They take a little time to build confidence in new scenarios or with new people/dogs, but they seem to overcome this quite steadily. They show no guarding tendencies and play nicely with their toys, and they are both crate trained and housetrained. The siblings are looking for a home situated in a semi-rural or rural location where they have lots of green spaces to explore, as well as direct access to a secure garden. They need a moderately active lifestyle, and someone who can give the time and reassurance they need to settle into a new environment.

Jack and Ella are currently based in Bude and have a clean bill of health. They are ready to meet their new forever family.

Please note, any mention of breed is nothing more than an educated guess based on what we know about the dog, their appearance, behaviour, and common breeds in their country of origin. We can never guarantee breed specifics, nor can we confirm the exact age of our dogs, unless they were born in our care. Age estimations are made by our vets based on the development of the dog, their general health and energy, and assessing their teeth.
