About Kal

Kal is a young boy who resembles a miniature Border Collie. He is currently living in a shelter in Bosnia after he was rescued from the streets alongside several other dogs in an area known for being particularly dangerous for strays due to people putting out poison. From the moment he arrived, Kal stood out for his sociable nature and gentle temperament, and we know he’s going to be an amazing companion for someone.

Kal is playful, active and full of enthusiasm for life. He especially loves chasing after a ball and would be in his element with an adopter who enjoys outdoor adventures and has the time to properly interact and play with a new dog. He’s affectionate and thrives in the company of people, often seeking out attention and soaking up fuss from anyone and everyone whenever it’s offered! He also loves water, and would love a home near the beach or by the lakes!

Kal is currently living in a group of over a dozen dogs and gets along well with them all. He enjoys canine company and shares his space without any issues, so we feel he would do well living with another friendly dog, but he could also be happy as the only dog in the home.

Kal would suit a moderately active to active home where he can be included in daily activities. He’d love a secure garden to run around in and regular opportunities for exercise and play, for example secure fields or chasing a ball in the park. He has the energy and personality to keep up with a busier pace of life, but he is also affectionate and enjoys relaxing in the company of his people after a good walk or play session. We can already see him now snuggled up on the sofa next to his new adopter. He’d just love it!

Kal can live with older children and would be a great match for a family who enjoys being outside and wants a dog to include in the fun. He would be best suited to a rural or semi-rural environment where he has space to explore and a calm home to return to. He’d thrive with some training and enrichment, and given a little time to adjust to a home environment we’re confident he will make a completely devoted little companion. He’s a lovely dog with a great attitude and plenty of love to give, and he’s ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own.
