About Nicole

Nicole and Nancy were rescued from a horrendous council pound in Larnaca, Cyprus, where they had been left to rot. Nicole was in poor condition and needed some TLC to get her some weight on her bones, but now she is feeling much better and is ready to find her forever home.

Nicole is a beautiful girl and boasts a very athletic, sleek appearance, we think she may have some greyhound and malinois in her mix. She’s thought to be around five years old and despite being dumped in a pound she has a very loyal, forgiving nature. She is dying to be someone’s number one girl and is so friendly towards everyone she meets, hoping they might take her home.

Nicole is an obedient and highly trainable girl. She does pull on the lead a little bit out of excitement to go out and explore, but this dies down once she gets into the rhythm of the walk. She’s quite a quiet soul and doesn’t really ask for much, but really does enjoy being around people. She welcomes a fuss and never says no to a cuddle.

Being a mature adult dog, Nicole would be a lovely addition for a family looking for a companion that is still capable to enjoying an active lifestyle, but is well out of the puppy stage. Of course, regardless of the age you adopt a dog there is always work and training required, but Nicole has a very balanced and gentle temperament, so there are likely to be less surprises from her at her age than with a younger dog going through puppyhood and adolescence.

Nicole is confident on her walks and although no phased by cars we’re still looking for somewhere a little more rural for her, where things aren’t so busy and she can enjoy a slower pace of life. She would really love a home surrounded by nice walks and nature trails, and she would also benefit from a home with direct access to a garden.

Nicole is very friendly with other dogs, but doesn’t depend on their company so could be homed as the only resident dog, but unfortunately she’s not suitable for a home with cats. As she does have a prey drive it would also be advisable for her to be homed without small furries as well.

Nicole is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
