Clio’s story

In December 2019 I decided that it was time to get a new dog. A work colleague recommended Underdog and could not sing their praises high enough. She had found her beloved Basil through them.

I immediately started looking on their website. Clio was pretty much love at first sight for me, and she happened to already be in the UK with her foster family.

I contacted Underdog and they begun their vetting process and put me in touch with Clio's lovely foster Mum. The adoption process was very smooth, and after a preliminary visit to meet Clio, and some supportive calls with the Underdog team, I adopted her at the beginning of February this year,

She was pretty timid at first, a little scared of other dogs, but very calm and loving. She has gradually come out of her shell, and is the sweetest, most loyal, and fun-loving companion. She likes nothing more than to take long walks chasing things in the forest, and then retire to the sofa for a spot of Murder She Wrote.

Underdog were there for us all the way. We had follow-up calls during which they had suggestions to ease the settling in process, and I knew I could turn to them with any problems Clio might have had.

Now, I cannot imagine life without Clio. This has been one of the best decisions of my life.
