Teddy’s story

After our beloved dog passed away suddenly, both myself and my partner were truly heartbroken but we knew we had a lot of love to give and a happy home for another rescue dog. Having found our first dog through Underdog International, we knew we could absolutely trust Eve to find the perfect dog for us again.

As soon she sent us pictures of Teddy, we fell in love. From the moment he arrived he really has been the dream dog. He was housetrained in about 24 hours (which still blows my mind!) and instantly became accustomed to snoozing on the sofa and belly rubs. I was worried he would find the transition to a big city tough but Teddy is so calm and easy going he just accepted his new life and took London in his stride (throughly enjoying his new favourite hobby chasing squirrels in the local park!).

People often stop to ask where Teddy is from and I’m surprised by how many people I meet who are hesitant about adopting a rescue dog. Having had rescue dogs my whole life I’m always quick to reassure them that they are the most loving companions and all they require is love in return.

Teddy is an absolute sweetheart, and is always trying to make friends with both dogs and people out on our walks. His best human pal is our friends two year old son who he will play with for hours and is always so gentle with.

Teddy has filled our home with joy and I genuinely can’t imagine our life without him. Underdog were really supportive through the whole adoption process and work tirelessly to ensure you find your perfect doggy match. I can not thank them enough for bringing not one but two amazing dogs into our lives.
