About Archie

Archie is a stunning little mixed breed with a playful nature and a big personality. He was rescued from a life on a chain behind a house and left to fend for himself, unfortunately a story that we hear all too often from our partners in Bosnia. Despite his sad beginning, Archie has blossomed into a friendly and sociable dog who loves being with people and exploring the world around him.

Since his rescue, Archie has adapted well to group life. He is good with other dogs and could live alongside a resident dog in his new home, although he’d also be happy as the only dog as long as he gets plenty of interaction and exercise. He has a lively nature and enjoys playing and running, so regular walks and time outdoors will be essential for him.

Archie walks nicely on the lead and really enjoys his time outside. He would be a great match for a person or family who enjoy an active lifestyle, especially if they are keen walkers or enjoy spending time in nature. He’s the sort of dog who would love joining you on countryside hikes or weekend outings, and he has the stamina and enthusiasm to keep up. After a good stretch of the legs, he’s also happy to relax with his people.

He can get a little overexcited at times, especially in new or stimulating environments, so we think a home with older children would be the best fit. He enjoys playing and being part of the action, but may be a bit too bouncy for very young children.

Archie is still young and would benefit from consistent training and routine as he settles into a home. He is already showing a willingness to learn and responds well to encouragement and positive reinforcement. With the right support and some time to adjust, he’s going to become a fantastic family companion.

Please note all our Bosnian dogs arrive to kennels based in Ormskirk when they get to the UK. Adopters are required to arrange collection from there.
