About Cookie

Cookie is a friendly, happy go lucky girl with a big heart and a fun-loving personality. She’s around two years old and on the smaller side of medium weighing roughly 13kg. She’s now in the care of the shelter and ready to find her forever family!

Cookie is a young, confident and sociable dog with a lovely temperament and a lot of love to give. She is full of enthusiasm and always happy to see people, so it doesn’t take her long at all to make new friends! She greets everyone with a wagging tail, bounds over to say hello, and loves to lean in close for a cuddle. She’s always ready for a fuss and despite being a shelter resident she’s always super happy and enthusiastic.

Cookie is very dog friendly and mixes well with others. She could live alongside another sociable resident dog, or would be just as happy as the only dog in the home, provided she has regular opportunities to socialise and play. She has also been friendly and gentle around children, and we feel she would fit in well with a family home.

Cookie appears to be familiar with travelling in the car and seems to enjoy it. She even hops in by herself, suggesting she may have had some experience of home life previously. She is also good on the lead, and we think she would be a great match for someone who enjoys walking regularly. She would particularly suit an active household, whether in an urban or rural setting, with access to a secure garden and a routine that includes time outdoors. As she is a social butterfly and a generally confident dog, we think she would cope living in a more built up location, but of course she’d also be more than happy in a semi-rural setting.

Cookie is energetic, affectionate and eager to be part of the action. She’s a cheerful and loving companion with lots of potential, and she would thrive in a home where she’s included in family life and finally gets the chance to explore, go on adventures, and be snuggled to her heart’s content!
