About Nikol
Nikol was rescued as a stray after being spotted not too far from a hotel in Cyprus. At barely four months old she’s only a baby and without any siblings or mother found with her, she found herself completely alone at a very young age. Despite her rough start she is a friendly little pup with a confident and cheerful nature, and we really hope to find her a foster or forever home as soon as we can to avoid her growing up in the shelter.
We believe Nikol will grow up to be a medium sized dog once she’s an adult and is probably a mix of shepherd and hound. As of writing this (June 30th), Nikol is just under 6.5kg. She will be looking for a family who have the time to dedicate to a pup, and can offer her a moderately active lifestyle, lots of company and cuddles, and some basic training to help her grow into a balanced, well-mannered adult dog.
Nikol is an outgoing and affectionate puppy who enjoys meeting new people and takes everything in her stride. She is curious, lively and sociable, and she is already showing signs of being a bright and adaptable young dog. She enjoys interaction with anyone and everyone and is easy to engage with, which should make future training and settling into a home environment easier for her to navigate.
She has not shown any nervousness around people and is comfortable being handled. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy the companionship of a friendly resident dog, though this is not essential provided she has regular opportunities to socialise and play.
Nikol has not been cat tested, but given her age and the bounciness of puppies, we would recommend a home with confident cats would be preferable. We also feel that she would have no problems integrating into a home with children as long as she is treated gently and respectfully. She would be suited to a home with access to a garden and adopters who are eager to support her through the rest of her puppy stages with structure, patience and positive experiences.
