Found as a stray Pippin arrived depressed, withdrawn, and desperately sick. An eye infection. Ears in terrible condition. Fur falling out. Fatigue so severe he could barely lift his head. Blood tests revealed Pippin tested positive for Leishmania, a parasitic disease from sandfly bites. Without months of veterinary care as a stray, it had ravaged his immune system and his kidneys were failing.
Pippin needed immediate treatment, a specialised renal diet, countless vet visits, blood tests, medication and round the clock boarding care. Today, Pippin is still on his road to recovery. He's happier, more comfortable, and showing the loyal, kind hearted temperament that will one day make him someone's perfect companion. Your support funds the emergency treatments, ongoing care, and a second chances for dogs like Pippin.

Found struggling in a swimming pool after nearly an hour in the water, this eight year old pair had spent their entire lives as breeding dogs. Abandoned, neglected and having endured years of suffering. Their fur was patchy, their skin raw, Bonnie's body was saggy from however many puppies she'd been forced to give birth to, and their joints were sore. Clyde's blood tests came back clear, but poor Bonnie was positive for Leishmania and started treatment straight away.
Through it all they never left each other's side and we refused to separate them, but finding a home that would be able to afford two adoption fees seemed impossible. We sought to rehome the bonded pair together and thanks to supporters like you, we covered Bonnie's transport from Cyprus, her medical treatment, both dogs' veterinary care, and found them a home together in Scotland. Today, Bonnie and Clyde are thriving and living their best life as a pair, but there are more Bonnies and Clydes waiting. -
Aspen is deaf and suffered with Parvovirus as a puppy, a virus often fatal for young dogs. Born with a string of bad luck in Cyprus, Aspen's journey to the UK should have been his fresh start. Instead, when his foster family could no longer care for him, he spent Christmas in kennels, waiting for a forever home that hasn't come.
He required a pain check at the vets, a behavioural assessment and ongoing kennel care which come at a huge cost of over £2,500. We are committed to finding dogs like Aspen a home but we need your help to do so. Our supporters are literally our dogs' lifeline, the difference between a dog left behind and a dog given every chance to find forever. -

Not every rescue is straightforward. While some dogs arrive healthy and ready for adoption, others come to us fighting for a second chance and these are the cases that need us most. If you played our lottery for one month, you could pay for food for a whole week when a rescue arrives in crisis.
Our motto is “Children helping dogs. Dogs helping children.”. You are helping both.
“Everyone loves Maggie, the school dog. She is instrumental in enabling pupils to openly talk about their worries or difficult issues. Pupils recognise that Maggie’s presence enhances their well-being. There is high-quality pastoral support for pupils.” - Ofsted report for Maggie The Therapy Dog’s school
“Riley has swiftly become a beloved figure in our approach to mental health and personal development. Her gentle presence and intuitive personality are an extra tool to help children manager their emotions, build confidence and find joy. When a child is feeling overwhelmed, anxious or even sad, spending time with Riley helps them reset. It’s a gentle, non-verbal form of support that speaks volumes” - Riley the Therapy Dogs school
In today's classrooms, children face unprecedented levels of stress, anxiety, and social pressure. For students with SEND, struggling readers, or those experiencing trauma, the school environment can feel overwhelming and isolating. Our therapy dog volunteers change everything and can be truly instrumental in a child’s progress at school. We're the only UK charity offering a dedicated online training programme for therapy dog volunteers in schools. Our comprehensive course developed with accredited behaviourists ensures every dog is expertly prepared to support children's mental health and learning. Our therapy dogs work across the UK, helping shy students find their voice, anxious learners feel calm, and every child experience the joy of dogs!
Just £40 can pay for a child to receive 8 therapy dog sessions in schools. That is two months of weekly visits where trained therapy dogs help children improve reading skills, manage stress, and develop empathy and confidence in a safe, non judgmental space. This is eight reasons for you to have an impact by supporting our lottery.
