About Digby

Digby is a bright, cheerful pup with little legs but a big personality (and an even bigger heart). He and his siblings were found abandoned outside a church in Cyprus, and though they were understandably confused, judging by their good condition and shiny coats it was clear to us that they’d previously been cared for. They’d definitely not been living rough on the streets, and unfortunately the churchyard is a common dumping site for puppies.

From the very beginning, Digby has stood out as the confident one of the group. He’s curious about everything and everyone, always keen to explore new surroundings and make friends with new people and dogs. His confidence helps to reassure his siblings, and even when he’s faced with something unfamiliar, it doesn’t take him long to find his feet. He takes life in his stride and has a furiously wagging tail and wiggly bum!

Digby’s personality is a lovely mix of playful and affectionate. He adores his toys, especially anything that crinkles or rolls, and given the chance he’ll steal your water bottle and trot about with it in his mouth as though it’s his most prized possession. He loves to run about, chase his siblings and steal their toys, but he’s equally happy to curl up for cuddles once he’s had his fun. He also loves his food, and treats work very well as rewards for his ongoing training.

Digby is a sociable, people focused pup who bonds quickly and thrives on attention. Any initial shyness when meeting someone new is short lived, and it’s not long before he’s sidling up for strokes and fuss. His good nature and trusting temperament make him a wonderful companion in the making, whether for a family or an individual looking for a happy little friend.

Digby gets on beautifully with other dogs. He enjoys canine company but doesn’t depend on it for confidence, so he could happily live as the only dog provided he has plenty of human interaction and company.

We think Digby would suit a variety of homes thanks to his adaptable nature. He could manage city life, provided he has access to regular exercise, company and, ideally, a secure garden to play in, but he’d be equally at home somewhere quieter. What matters most to him is being included, as he’s a social little dog who likes to be involved. He’s an absolute joy to be around. He’s bright, loving and full of character, and we’re certain that wherever he goes, he’s going to be adored.
