How to leave a gift in your will

Leaving a gift to Underdog International is simpler than you might think.

1. Look after your loved ones first

Your family and friends should always come first. Once you've provided for them, you might like to consider leaving a gift to a cause that's close to your heart.

2. Choose how you'd like to give

You can leave a percentage of what's left in your estate, a fixed amount of money or a particular item. There is no minimum gift.

3. Include Underdog in your Will

When writing or updating your Will, simply provide your solicitor or Will-writing professional with our charity details:

  • Yes. This is known as a residuary gift. You can leave a percentage of what's left after debts, expenses and other gifts have been paid.

  • Yes. This is known as a pecuniary gift. You can choose any amount that feels right for you.

  • Yes. A solicitor or qualified Will-writing professional can advise you on the best way to update your Will.

  • No. It's entirely your decision. However, if you choose to let us know, we'd love the opportunity to thank you personally

  • Of course. Your Will is yours to change, and you are under no obligation to leave a gift to Underdog.

  • Gifts left to qualifying UK charities are generally exempt from Inheritance Tax. In some circumstances, leaving at least 10% of your net estate to charity may reduce the rate of Inheritance Tax payable on the taxable estate. We recommend seeking professional tax advice for your circumstances.
