About Chloe
Chloe came into the shelter in Cyprus as a very young puppy, likely unwanted and crawling with fleas, and was adopted locally not long later. She arrived all squishy with soft puppy rolls and tiny paws, and has since grown into a long legged, elegant hound mix with bags of personality. Sadly, through no fault of her own, her family now feel they can’t offer her the time, stimulation and outlets for her energy that she needs, so Chloe is looking for a new home where she can really thrive.
Chloe is a bright, sociable and enthusiastic young dog. She is clever, highly trainable and very people focused, and she has adapted beautifully to living in a home environment. She loves to be involved and benefits hugely from having things to do, both physically and mentally. An active lifestyle suits her well and she would really shine in a home that enjoys getting out and about, exploring and sharing adventures together.
Chloe is great with people and enjoys interaction, affection and engagement. She has been working with a trainer and responds very well to positive reinforcement and structure. Training clearly gives her confidence and helps her channel her energy in a positive way, so ongoing training will be an important part of helping her continue to mature into a well balanced adult dog.
Chloe lives with another dog and gets on very well with her, having always known life alongside a canine companion. She takes comfort from having another dog around and may settle more quickly in a home where she has a dog friend, although with the right setup and sufficient stimulation she could also adapt to being an only dog. She currently lives with a young child and does well, though her energy levels should be considered in homes with children, particularly if they are less experienced with dogs. Chloe also lives with dog savvy resident cats but is a rough and tumble puppy - she won’t be the right match for every cat (see photos for what to expect!)
We feel Chloe would be happiest in an active home with access to a garden, and surrounded by nature and green spaces to explore. She is a young, intelligent and driven dog who needs both exercise and engagement, and with the right family she will be an incredibly rewarding companion. Chloe has so much potential and is ready for a home that can match her energy, and enthusiasm.
