About Fluffy

Fluffy was rescued from a small town in Bosnia which is a well known dumping site for unwanted dogs, and sadly it’s not a very welcoming community. He is now safe and sound in the shelter, and has been so grateful for being picked up off the streets. He has made friends with everyone, greets anyone with a warm and polite temperament, and has slotted in among all the other shelter dogs without any resistance.

At around five years old, we’re sure at some point Fluffy has been treated with kindness and had humans he could once trust. Five years living on the streets is generally unheard of, as Bosnia is dangerous for strays and if they’re not taken to public shelters, they are often poisoned, hit by cars, or become unwell. His trusting, forgiving nature suggests that he knows not all humans are unkind, and we’re confident that he will settle into a family home really well once he finds his people.

Fluffy is around 15kg and has no issues being handled, which makes him an easy addition to the shelter. He just wants to be wherever there are people, and he loves being fussed over, cuddled and stroked. He has a very charming, calm and kind-hearted personality, and he would be a great dog for a relaxed household based outside of the city.

We don’t know how much of Fluffy’s life has been spent not knowing where he belongs, so we’re looking for a patient, understanding home who can give him the time and space he needs to adapt to a companion lifestyle gradually. He would be best suited to a home with a fairly chilled out lifestyle, and he would like direct access to a secure garden. Fluffy enjoys his walks and would love spending time outdoors with his new family. He walks nicely on the lead and is used to wearing a harness.

Fluffy is friendly with other dogs and would be happy living alongside a canine friend. He is also calm but curious around cats, and can live with slightly older children. A noisy, unpredictable household wouldn’t be so fun for him. He loves any opportunity to socialise with people and is very friendly, affectionate and gentle. He’s a lovely little guy with a big heart and we would love to find him the perfect family.
