Wren’s story

Two years ago, our lives changed forever when we adopted Wren, our beautiful rescue dog. Her story began in a Bosnian quarry, where she was found alongside her puppies. Thanks to the incredible efforts of a local rescue center and Underdog International, Wren was given a second chance at life, and that’s when our love story began.

We knew adopting her was the right thing to do, even though we were all nervous at first (including Wren). After just three days, she braved her first journey up the stairs. A few weeks later, she began asking for cuddles - a moment we’ll never forget. By three months, she finally started coming out of her shell, showing us the vibrant, playful dog she was meant to be.

It took over a year for her to travel without getting sick, but every step of the way was worth it. Watching her transform has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. Slowly but surely, Wren learned what unconditional love feels like, and she’s been giving it right back ever since.

This year, she surprised us by finding her voice! She now makes the cutest little noises to communicate with us and other dogs, which melts our hearts every time. ❤️

Now living her best life in beautiful Devon, Wren is thriving. She’s completely obsessed with wallowing in water like a hippo (we call her “our little water baby”) and loves saying hello to every dog she meets on her walks. On rainy days, she’s happy to curl up and nap the day away, always on her own terms, of course!

Wren’s journey is a testament to the resilience of rescue dogs and the transformative power of love. She’s brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives, and we can’t imagine a day without her.
