About Bingo
Bingo came into our care at the beginning of the year after being found roaming with his friend, Baron, in a disused industrial area. It didn’t take very long at all for us to convince Bingo that we were trustworthy, and he now smothers us with love and licks every time we interact with him. He’s a great dog and has such a lovable personality.
Bingo is only estimated to be around a year old, so he’s still a young dog, learning each and every day. He responds very well to positive reinforcement training with treats as the reward, as he’s a big foodie, which probably comes as no surprise as we’re sure he’s part Labrador. He has adapted to shelter life well and copes with the noisy environment, busy routine and coming and going of multiple dogs every other day as well as you could hope for.
Bingo is friendly with other dogs, be it males or females. He shares his kennel with his friend Baron at the moment, and he has been integrated with a number of other dogs in the playground where he’s been very excited to make friends, play chase and generally just be a whirlwind of fun. He’s enthusiastic about everything and a happy boy who loves being involved.
We’re looking for a relatively active home for Bingo based semi-rurally. He wouldn’t enjoy a busy city home, and he would definitely be happiest with direct access to a secure garden. He loves a run around and has plenty of energy to keep up with an active lifestyle, but he wouldn’t need asking twice for a lounge on the sofa either!
Bingo would benefit from some entry level training just to give him a sense of expectations, instil some good manners, and help form a strong bond with his new family. He’s very affectionate and will repay any form of attention with an extremely waggy tail. He’s very sociable and has no issues making new friends.
Although we think that Bingo would be confident enough to live on his own, he has shown no issues with other dogs and we feel he’d be suitable to live alongside a resident dog too, especially if they’re of a similar nature to him. He can sometimes be a little daft in his play style, but he’s young and this is to be expected.
Bingo is so ready to find his forever family. He stares longingly out of his kennel every time someone walks past and we would love for it to be his turn to leave soon.
