About Celine
We were shocked when no one came to the shelter to claim Celine as their missing dog, as she has most definitely had a home in the past - this girl is just a dream. She was brought in by the dog warden after she was found as a stray, and once again, had no collar or microchip. She has been in the shelter now for just under a month and she has been no trouble whatsoever.
Celine is around 18 months old and has such a gentle, charming, and sweet nature. She is patient, polite and very affectionate, and she is great with other dogs and humans alike. She is a quiet but confident dog and does well in group situations, and is also more than happy to meet new people.
Celine is a small sized dog and absolutely ideal for someone looking for a dog that they can handle and pick up easily. She waits calmly while you put on a harness and lead, and she trots along nicely next to you on walks. She loves being fussed over and during a recent volunteer trip to Cyprus where she met a large group all at once, she was more than happy to say hello to everyone.
Celine is very good at mixing with other dogs and quickly works out new group dynamics. Although she is a generally confident girl, she won’t challenge other dogs and if someone growls or barks at her, she will just walk away and avoid any conflict. She is definitely a lover, not a fighter! She would be happy living alongside another resident dog, but it’s by no means compulsory and above all she just wants to hang out with humans.
Celine would be a great match for a family with less dog ownership experience due to her adaptable, easygoing nature. She doesn’t ask for much, but would prefer a home where she’s not left alone for long periods of time, and she’d like a little bit of outdoor space to sunbathe in and watch the world go by.
Whoever gets to welcome this lovely little girl into their home is going to be very lucky, and we know that she is going to blossom once she finds her forever family.
