About Jack

Meet The Nightmare Before Christmas puppies! Jack is the biggest of the litter, though he’s also the gentlest. He and his siblings were rescued from an overcrowded council pound in Cyprus, where they were sadly at risk of being put to sleep. Thankfully, space became available at a local shelter, and they were taken to safety. Since then, they’ve grown into happy, affectionate young dogs, each with their own distinct personalities.

Jack is a calm, thoughtful puppy who watches the world with curiosity. He’ll often take a moment to assess a new situation before joining in, but once he feels comfortable, he’s affectionate, trusting and eager to make friends. He’s such a good-natured dog, kind to his siblings and never the one to cause a fuss. He’s a quiet pup, but we know there’s so much personality under the surface, ready to emerge once he’s feeling a bit more confident.

Jack is a bright and observant dog who loves learning, particularly when treats are involved! Food is definitely the way to his heart, and his eyes quite literally light up when he sees the treat packet come out! He’s patient when waiting his turn, always polite, and clearly keen to understand what’s being asked of him. His balanced temperament and willingness to please will make him a lovely dog to continue training.

Jack gets on brilliantly with other dogs and would do particularly well in a home with a calm, confident companion to show him the ropes. He enjoys canine company and any opportunity to play, but he’s not an overbearing character by any means. He reads canine body language well and fits in easily with different personalities. Like his siblings, he would likely flourish with the company of a resident dog, but could live alone in the right household.

With people, Jack can be a little shy to start with, but his hesitance fades once he realises you’re a friend and not a foe (or indeed, if you have biscuits with you). He’s gentle, calm and enjoys quiet attention. He’d be best suited to a home with older children who can respect his space while he finds his feet.

Jack would be happiest in a quieter, semi-rural home with access to a garden where he can explore, stretch his legs and relax outdoors. He’ll thrive in a home where patience and routine can help him build confidence, and where he’s given the time to show just how loyal and loving he can be.

Jack is a sweet, steady-natured pup with a gorgeous character, and with a bit of encouragement and continued guidance, he’ll grow into a devoted and fiercely loyal best friend.
