About Levi
Levi came into the shelter after being picked up by the dog warden. He had been reported as a wandering dog for some time, regularly seen roaming the streets and weaving between cars. Although he previously had owners, they made no effort to keep him safe and never came to collect him from the shelter, leaving Levi in need of a new home. This time, his welfare will be properly prioritised.
Levi is a Kokoni Spaniel mix and a small dog with a gentle, slightly cheeky nature. He can be reserved the first time he meets someone brand new and is sometimes more cautious around men, but once he’s had time to get to know someone, he has a very sweet, affectionate and sociable side. He benefits from patience and a calm approach, and does best when allowed to build trust at his own pace. He enjoys attention and has a lovely little personality once settled, along with a seriously cute smile and a small scar on his lip that only adds to his character.
Around people, Levi is polite but not immediately confident. He was very overwhelmed when he first arrived in the shelter, but is already so much more confident and settled. He has already come a long way from his first few days at the shelter, and in a proper home where he feels settled and safe we think he will be just fine. He loves treats, so that’s a fast track way to his heart!
Levi is good with other dogs and currently shares space with both a male and a female dog without issue. He seems comfortable in their company and gains some confidence from being around them, although he isn’t overly playful or reliant on other dogs. He could live with another calm dog, but would also be fine as an only dog provided he has regular human company.
Levi is unlikely to enjoy living with young children, as sudden movements and being handled unpredictably can make him uncomfortable. A quieter household would suit him best, especially as he first finds his feet in a new environment.
Levi has always had access to the outdoors, so a home with a garden would be ideal. He would prefer a home outside of the busy city, or even based semi-rurally where he can enjoy the outdoors and explore. In a home where he is offered structure, reassurance and 1-2-1 attention, Levi is bound to blossom into the most devoted little companion! Someone is going to be very lucky to welcome him into their lives.
