About Oz

Little Oz is a delightful dog and just wants to be someone's baby. He was brought in to the shelter, assumed abandoned with a little bandana on, which obviously broke our hearts. He initially struggled to settle in the shelter and was clearly waiting for someone to come and get him, but of course that never happened.

Oz is just a youngster at around 10 months old. He’s a cheeky and bouncy pup but he's extremely eager to please, smart and sociable. He gets so excited to meet new people and thinks everyone is his friend. He laps up any and all attention and you can really tell this little guy has come from a home and desperately wants out of the shelter.

Oz is a small sized dog, and resembles a slightly oversized Yorkshire Terrier. He’s absolutely gorgeous and has the cutest head tilt and most expressive ears. He also loves taking the opportunity to sit in your lap if you’re sat down, and just wants to be as close as physically possible.

Due to the fact that Oz has been abandoned, he may show some signs of separation anxiety and will need plenty of reassurance and a gentle pace to allow him to settle in his own time. Losing a family is a traumatic and scary experience for a young dog who has bonded and formed a trusting relationship, so he needs patience and understanding.

Oz is great with other dogs and currently shares his kennel with a little female who he’s very friendly and playful with. He would be more than happy to share his home with a friendly dog, but would also have no qualms being the only dog in the household as long as he has plenty of company and attention, and isn’t left alone for long periods of time.

Oz would enjoy a moderately active lifestyle, and we think he would appreciate direct access to a secure garden is possible. He is a confident, social butterfly of a dog, and despite his small size, he has a big personality and a huge heart. He is full of love and desperate to be someone’s best friend.
