About Remi

Remi arrived in the shelter recently after being found as a stray at the end of the hunting season. Although Cyprus has a reputation for neglecting their hounds and spaniels during the hunting season, Remi actually came into the shelter in really good condition, so we’re hopeful that he’s not had a miserable start to life.

Remi is estimated to be around two years old and he is such a sweet soul. Being an English Pointer, he has that lovely endearing squishy face, a heart of gold, and such velvety soft fur. He is quite a quiet boy with a gentle, calm nature, and he is very trusting and good tempered around new people.

Remi is currently sharing a kennel run with five other dogs, males and females, and he gets on with them all really well. He mixes well in a group, reads other canine body language well, and recognises when other dogs want to play, or want some space. He has quite a goofy character, and you can often see the cogs turning, but he’s truly nothing but love.

Treats and cuddles are both welcomed by Remi, and he loves making friends with new people. He would be suitable for a home with children, and he could definitely live with other dogs too, but he’s not been tested cats. We think he has the potential to be a great addition to a family looking for a very sociable, friendly and adaptable young dog.

Remi’s ideal home would be outside of the city, with access to a garden and plenty of nice walks each week. He would love the opportunity to explore lots of green spaces, or perhaps even the beach, and he’ll jump at any chance to use his nose and sniff out interesting scents. He’s an active breed naturally, but is by no means bouncing off the walls and a moderately energetic lifestyle would suit him well. He would also relish any opportunity to snuggle on the sofa with his new family - pointers are amazing cuddlers! Once he realises the wonder of home comforts, he’ll never look back!

Remi is such a good natured dog and any family would be lucky to welcome him into their home. We can’t wait to see him settle in as a companion and best friend, and we know that he’s going to make such an impact wherever he goes.
