About Zero
Meet The Nightmare Before Christmas puppies! Zero is a bright, endearing young dog with a lovely, gentle nature and a slightly goofy streak that makes him impossible not to love. He and his siblings came from an overcrowded council pound in Cyprus, where they were sadly at risk of being put to sleep. Thankfully, space became available at a local shelter, and they were taken to safety. Upon arrival, we fell in love with them, so we’ve promised to get them their ticket to the UK!
Since arriving at the shelter, Zero’s confidence has grown beautifully. He was initially shy around people and a little unsure of being handled, but with time and kindness he’s learned to trust and now greets visitors with enthusiasm and curiosity. He’s still a touch cautious with people he doesn’t know well, but his gentle nature always shines through once he realises he’s safe. He’s affectionate, eager to please and there’s genuinely not a bad bone in his body.
Zero is a playful, inquisitive dog who loves to explore his surroundings. He enjoys running about with his siblings, playing with toys and investigating every new scent that crosses his path. He’s a typical young Labrador mix, bright, food motivated and always up for learning something new, especially when treats are involved. He’s working very hard on his manners, learning to wait patiently and to keep all four paws on the floor when he’s excited!
Around other dogs, Zero is excellent. He’s gentle and well-mannered, reading social cues and body language easily and fitting in with the group without a fuss. He looks up to the more confident dogs, often showing his belly or following their lead, and clearly enjoys both play and companionship. He would thrive in a home with another calm, friendly dog to guide him, though he could also adapt to life as the only dog with the right support and reassurance, although he would likely be a bit shell shocked to begin with.
Given his gentle and sometimes cautious nature, Zero would be best suited to a home in a quieter, more rural setting where he can settle at his own pace. He’d love a garden to explore and space to play safely. He can live with sensible, older children who understand that he may need a little time to build confidence.
Zero is a kind hearted boy and we know he’ll only continue to grow into a balanced pup with a little patience. He will make a wonderful family dog given the opportunity, and we can’t wait to see him blossom in the right home.
