About Claudia

Claudia was brought into the shelter as a stray puppy when she was only a couple of months old, without any mum or siblings. She settled into the shelter really well all things considered, and she has proven to be a really resilient little girl despite her young age and unfortunate beginning.

Claudia is a very pretty hound mix, and this girl is clever! She is so responsive to training and loves positive reinforcement with treats as the reward. She is always a very well behaved girl around food and will share with the other dogs and not snatch things from them, but if you forget to give her a biscuit she won’t hesitate to give you a little bark to remind you that she’s there!

Claudia has been integrated into a few groups of dogs since she arrived and she has responded really well. She is playful and sociable with other dogs, but also quite submissive so she won’t challenge a telling off or try to be the centre of attention. She mixes well in a group and she has learned to read body language well despite still being the baby of the group. She loves it when a dog wants to be friends though, especially if they’ll snuggle up with her in the kennel at the end of the day.

Claudia is an affectionate girl and loves a cuddle. She welcomes meeting new people and really likes to be around humans. She would really suit a home with quite an active lifestyle, and she would happily keep up! She likes going out for walks and has picked up some basic lead walking manners already with the volunteers. She is friendly towards everyone she meets and would be great for a sociable family who like getting out and about.

As any puppy would, Claudia needs some continued training and socialisation to help her grow into a balanced young dog. Puppies can be hard work, but you get out what you put in, and it’s so rewarding to watch them learn and progress. Claudia forms very strong bonds with people and would love nothing more to have her very own family. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart girl with a bit of sass and a gorgeous smile, here she is!
