About Noah

Noah is every bit the silly goofball that he looks to be in his photos. We love this daft boy, and he came to us a few weeks ago after being found as yet another wandering stray. Unfortunately for Noah, in terms of appearance he is the kind of dog that we often see overlooked for a long time - we don’t know why, they just always seem to take longer! We’re hoping that just maybe he’ll get lucky before he has to spend months on end behind bars.

Noah is around two years old and full of fun. He is such a positive dog and despite his life in the shelter being relatively boring, any moment of excitement that he does get to experience, he does so with 100% enthusiasm. He loves any kind of human interaction and is beside himself with happiness when someone goes into his kennel to spend time with him. He’s a very sociable, human focused dog and just wants to be loved.

Noah shares his kennel with a quiet, older female dog, and despite his energy he understands that he needs to give her some space and calm down when she’s not feeling it. He seems to be able to read canine body language well, and we think he could live with or without other dogs. He appreciates their company and seems to enjoy an opportunity to play when it’s offered, but he is also very people oriented so doesn’t depend on other dogs to feel secure and confident.

Noah is young and still very bouncy at times, although a lot of this is due to lack of exercise and no outlets for his excitement. With a proper routine and lots of lovely long walks, we’re sure he will calm down, but it would still be in his best interest to have some entry level training, to learn the basics and improve his manners. He is so keen to please and very food motivated, so he loves to learn! He has already perfected a very nice ‘sit’ in the shelter, and looks extremely proud of himself whilst doing so.

Noah has a huge heart and so much love to give. He’s looking for an active home with a garden, someone up for the fun that a younger, more energetic dog can bring into their household, and someone that can also shower him in the love that he craves. He will make the absolute best friend once he’s had a chance to settle in and find his feet.
